Send a Limited Edition Axel Scheffler 'Thank You'
- Take 5 minutes at the start of a lesson to get your pupils to send a free thank you e-card to their favourite teacher! Cards are open to teachers, school leaders, teaching assistants, and all support staff in UK schools and colleges, and those thanked will receive a limited edition e-card specially designed by Gruffalo illustrator, Axel Scheffler.
- Send one of your own! Is there a member of staff that’s been a real support to your school/college? Or maybe you’d like to thank the whole school team? Let them know!
- Why not make it a weekly event? Celebrate the teacher/staff member who receives the most thank yous every week leading up to Thank a Teacher Day!
Enter our Competitions!
Once your pupils or colleagues send a thank you card they’ll be given the links to enter our #HowWillYouSayThankYou competitions. Encourage your pupils to show off their skills for their teaching heroes and they could receive a special shout out from one of our celebrity judges! Competitions include:
- Nadiya Hussain’s Baking Competition -test out Nadiya’s cookie recipe and bake something special for your teacher!
- Michael Morpurgo’s Short Story or Poem Competition- enchant us with your best short story or poem about an amazing teacher you know.
- Drawing Competition- show off your best Thank a Teacher Day drawing, whether it’s a picture of your teacher or your dream way to thank them!
- Budding School Reporter competition – win a days work experience with an editor and have your work published in TES
