Show Us Your Thank You Videos!

  • Thank you for submitting your Thank You! Have you thought about submitting a video to really show off what this special teacher means to you? We’re putting together our promotional materials for Thank a Teacher Day on Wednesday 23rd June and we’re on the lookout for great Thank You content showcasing the amazing work that teachers do. We’d love to show your video on our social media channels, so the more creative the better!
  • And there’s even the chance you could be famous! We’ll be picking our favourite videos to send to our friends at the BBC and other news organisations who will be covering Thank a Teacher Day – so your video could end up on the nation’s television screens! (Please note- any videos you submit will not be included on the card your teacher receives.)

Budding School Reporter Competition!

Want to be published in a magazine read by millions? AND have work experience with a real-life Editor?

Thanks to our friends at TES – the national educational magazine with readers across the globe  – we’re offering one lucky competition winner the chance to have their work published online plus a day shadowing Jon Severs, Editor at the magazine, to see first-hand what a day in the life of a leading editor looks like.

We are looking for aspiring journalists to write a story outlining their school’s plans to celebrate Thank a Teacher Day on June 23, highlighting what really makes them stand out from the crowd!

We want young writers who can put together a punchy, factual, and positive piece which covers everything that their school is organising, why your school considers saying ‘Thank You’ to school staff to be so important, and how teachers are responding to the plans. We want to get a real sense of what it feels like to be at the school and to be able to visualise the activities that you’re describing.

Competition entries should be 650 words long and feature a detailed overview of how your school is planning to celebrate Thank a Teacher Day. The finalists will be judged by the editorial team at TES with the winner’s article being published online.
